My name is Edlyn, I’m 30 years old, and single. I’m from the Philippines. I’ve been working as a domestic helper for 4 years in Singapore.

I've been in Singapore for 4 years and have worked with 3 employers. My first employer was Chinese with 2 adults and 2 kids. I did general household chores, sent the kids to school and fetched them, and did light cooking. I worked there for 1 year and 7 months. The reason for leaving was their return to China at the start of the pandemic.

My second employer was also Chinese, with 2 adults and 2 kids. My duties included marketing, household chores, ironing, washing, and taking care of the kids. I worked there for 7 months. I transferred because of the worsening pandemic situation, and they also went back to China since the husband's work was based there.

My third employer is Chinese as well, consisting of 5 adults including 2 grandparents, and 2 kids. My job includes household chores, marketing, washing clothes by hand and machine, sending and fetching the kids from school, and sometimes accompanying the grandparents if other family members are busy. I can cook and am ready to transfer anytime.
