I have worked in Singapore for nearly 25 years as a domestic helper, doing housekeeping and cooking,  Under my last 2 employers, I also took care of elderly people, helping them to move from bed to wheelchair and pushing them around, and also helping them to shower and go to the toilet.  My last employer had dementia from 2021 until she passed away in August 2024.  During that time, l also had to feed her, make sure she took her medicine.  During these 3 years, I slept on the floor in her room in case she woke up at night.  Because of the dementia, she sometimes would scold me or hit me when i tried to move her or shower her. But I tried my best because I knew she was not well.I like to cook and try to learn new dishes.  I will go to the wet market and supermarket to buy groceries by myself, after my employer told me what she wants me to cook.I also made sure the laundry was done and the house was kept clean.I am a hardworking person and loyal to my employer.  I also think I am patient with people.The last elderly person I looked after passed away in August 2024.  I am looking for a transfer to work for another family, preferably looking after an elderly person. But I can also look after children or anyone.  I am available for transfer anytime from 21 October 2024. I am currently not with any agency but can consider being under one.
