Good day, Ma'am/Sir. I'm Maryliza, 41 years old, married with 3 children. I have worked as a domestic helper and nanny in Hong Kong for almost five years, from May 2019 to December 2023 with one employer. I didn't finish my third contract with them because they migrated to the U.K. My main role there was to ensure the safety of the child I was caring for. She was four years old at that time. My usual routine was to get her ready for school, feed her before leaving, accompany her to school, and pick her up afterwards. At home, I would play with her, make sure she was comfortable and happy. I also did household chores such as cleaning the house, preparing family meals, doing the laundry, ironing, and shopping for groceries. Sometimes, I also arranged playdates for her with her friends.
