Marianne

Good day, madam and sir!  My name is Marianne, and I am 44 years old. I am a single mother, but I have never been married. I completed an Associates in Computer Science but did not finish my studies as I started working to support my family. 

I worked as a domestic helper in the Philippines for 2 years. After completing my contract, the family I worked for moved to the USA. During my time with them, I was responsible for cleaning the house, doing laundry, tutoring their granddaughter, taking care of their pet, and doing the weekly grocery shopping. I can cook Filipino food, and I am willing to learn how to cook Chinese food. 

I have decided to work abroad because my 73-year-old mother has diabetes, and her medication is very expensive. I know that working abroad offers a higher salary than what I can earn here in the Philippines. 

To my future employer, I understand that I may be considered too old for a household worker, but I am asking for a chance to work with your family because I am starting to lose hope. I really need this job for my sick mother. I promise to work for you for as long as you need my services.
