I have worked in Taiwan for 7 years, taking care of elderly people. Elderly care requires patience, kindness, and love because elderly individuals can experience mood swings, dementia, and sometimes even episodes of violence. Most of the time, elderly people feel sad because they perceive themselves as useless and believe that their families have abandoned them. To help alleviate these feelings, I would often take the elderly to the park to socialize with others and to the supermarket. During my time in Taiwan, I gained a deeper understanding of people's behavior and developed traits such as hard work, responsibility, honesty, and even some proficiency in Mandarin.
