Hello, my name is Shyrel Glenn, and I am currently in Hong Kong. I have worked here as a domestic helper for three months, but unfortunately, I had to break my contract due to experiences of maltreatment. I made the difficult decision to leave my previous employer because I could no longer endure their behavior. The children often hurt me, spoke to me in disrespectful terms, and I was not provided with adequate food or toiletries. Additionally, my salary was consistently delayed, and my employer frequently shouted at me for even the simplest mistakes. My last working day was on March 11, 2025. I acknowledge that I am not perfect, but I am dedicated and always strive to do my best in my work. I hope you can understand my reasons for choosing to leave rather than continue with my previous contract. I did try to persevere, but it became too much for me.
