Sheila May

Hello! My name is Sheila May and I am a 40-year-old single mother with one daughter. I have dedicated 17 years of my life to working as a domestic helper, spending 2 years in Kuwait and 15 years in Hong Kong. My first job began in 2007 in an Arab country, where I cared for an elderly woman with diabetes, administering her insulin and preparing her meals and medications. In Hong Kong, I started my first position in 2009, caring for a breast cancer patient. Unfortunately, I was released after one year due to financial difficulties faced by the family. From 2010 to 2015, I worked for another Chinese family in Sheung Shui, which included 2 adults and 2 children. My primary responsibility was to care for the 9-year-old twin boys, ensuring they were transported to their activities and provided with meals. I concluded my time with this family after 4 years and 6 months, as the children were set to study in Canada. From 2015 to 2022, I was employed by a Chinese-Canadian family consisting of 5 adults, 1 teenager, and a dog. Currently, from 2023 to 2025, I am working with a mixed French family that includes 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 2. This position will finish on January 20, 2025. I am a hardworking, loving, and patient individual who is always eager to learn. I have experience cooking Chinese and various Asian dishes, along with basic French cuisine.
