Dear Employer, Good day to you and to your whole family. I am writing to express my gratitude for reading my application. I hope for the opportunity to work in your family as your trusted Helper. I Believe that I have the Potential, skills, and ability to make good on my job assignment and make an effort to accomplish an end.

My name is Jovelyn, 31 year-old never married. I am born and raised in the Philippines.  I am an undergraduate Associate in Office Administration in the year 2014 as a working student of my aunt. Then the following year 2015 and 2016, I stop college because of my aunt financial problem and that time I need to take care of my mother because she had a stroke and her half body was retarded and she need more rest and care with the help of my other sisters. Mid-year of 2016, I started to work as a cashier in one of the famous malls in General Santos City.

On March 10, 2017, I arrived in Hong Kong the day after. I work for my first employer, Sir, and the 3 members of his family, including his 83-year-old mother-in-law. His house was about 2000 square feet, and I was the only helper who served to their family. My main duties were to clean the house such as, sweeping, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning 3 times a week, laundry, ironing, changing beddings every 2 weeks of the month, marketing/grocery shopping, cooking, dish-washing, kitchen cleaning, and the most important also is to take care of his mother in-law, accompanied her during they are not at home. My work is Monday to Saturday, every Sunday is my day off, I usually attend Sunday mass in the morning after that if I have time me and my friends we do hiking. I stop hiking when I enroll my Caregiver course every Sunday. I finished and had a Diploma of Caregiver (Elderly & Infant Care)in year 2019. And at the same time, I also took my ADULT CPR CERTIFICATE COURSE. Even though it expired both my certification, I've been so proud of myself due to my busy schedule but still, I'm gaining knowledge related to my work and future work. After 6 years of serving this very kind and generous family. My employer decided not to renew my contract due to his eldest son and daughter-in-law having a baby coming, so they explained to me that I would work with her daughter-in-law and son to take care of the newborn baby.  

On March 19, 2023, I started working with my current employer, Madam, her husband, and their newborn baby (6 months old). My employer's house was about 800 square feet and I'm the only one helper to serve this loving and kind family. My main duties are to take care of the newborn baby, such as feeding, clothing, bathing, and grooming, changing diapers every 2-3 hours, preparing a nutritious baby meals, and playing. During their free time of the baby, I taught him how to draw and paint; we learned together some musical instruments like the xylophone and baby drums. We sang baby songs even though I'm not good at singing or dancing as well. But mostly we do educational learning toys and books such as, motor skills and sensory play. While the baby is sleeping, I do household chores such as cleaning the house, laundry, ironing the baby and adult clothes, kitchen cleaning, bathroom cleaning, baby toys cleaning, changing baby cribs beddings and adult beddings, and cooking lunch and dinner. I also take care of their pet (cat). My daily routine started 700:AM to 10:00PM from Monday till Saturday. 

August 2024, the baby is already 2 2-year-old boy, and he has already started his nursery. They didn't change my daily routine, but I still have additional daily work. Every 11:00AM start to prepare all his school things to put on his school bag such as, wet towel, daily check card, school Id, Name tag, extra clothes, and extra shoes. 12:30PM me and the baby start to travel going to school, it takes 25 minutes to travel. Every afternoon 1:00PM start his nursery class till 3:00PM, I let him stay there in the classroom for 2 hour class then pick up him around 3PM. Every time he finished his class I let him some nap for at least 1 hour, when the baby already sleep I will start preparing baby and adult dinners. My 1st contract with them will finish on March 2025. I love and I respected my employers as they treated me as their family. But I need to find new employer to learn more, come out of my comfort zone, try new family to serve, and gain more experience.Sir/Madam and I hope to hear from you soon.
