Hello Sir and Ma'am, I hope you are having a wonderful day! My name is Airyn. I worked in Kuwait for four years and seven months under a completed contract. After a few years, I decided to apply for a position as a domestic helper here in Hong Kong. I began working for my current employer on September 28, 2023. My daily routine involves preparing breakfast for two children and taking them to school. I also care for a newborn for about 2 to 3 hours each day. Additionally, I cook lunch and dinner every day because my employer stays at home. After school, I pick up the children and perform daily housework without supervision. Currently, I am considering breaking my contract because I am not happy with my workload. When I signed my contract, it was for two children. However, a month after I started, my employer became pregnant and gave birth in June 2024, adding to my responsibilities with a newborn. While I am willing to work hard each day, my employer often puts me under pressure to hurry. Therefore, I hope to find a more understanding employer regarding workload. The reasons I am considering breaking my contract are as follows: 1. I am required to wash large curtains by hand. 2. The workload has become excessive, and my employer constantly rushes me. 3. I am not happy in my current situation. 4. On my days off, my employer messages me with complaints about my work.
