Aileen Joy

My name is Aileen Joy, and I am a 35-year-old Filipino. I consider myself a dedicated, trustworthy, and kind person who loves children. I am eager to learn, listen, and help others from the heart. I have worked as a domestic helper for nearly six years in Hong Kong and two years in Malaysia.

In my previous position, I cared for a family of four, including a couple and their two sons. I worked for them for four years without returning home due to the pandemic. When I started with this family, my employer was unexpectedly pregnant. My responsibilities included all household tasks, cooking, caring for the baby, and taking the older child to school. Over the course of a year, I helped both children with their schooling.

Currently, I am employed by a family that cares for elderly relatives, including two grandfathers and a grandmother, alongside my co-worker. I have been with this family for nearly two years, with my contract finishing on March 30, 2025. My duties include housekeeping, cooking, grocery shopping, and providing elderly care, which involves accompanying them to medical check-ups, assisting with bathing, administering medication, checking blood pressure, and ensuring they remain clean at all times.
