Western Family Looking for a Domestic Helper

 

We are looking for a reliable, caring and hardworking individual to join our friendly household and help us create a warm and comfortable home environment. 

About Our Family:

• We are a close family of 4. My husband is British, I am Malaysian and we have 2 teenage daughters aged 18 and 14 years old
• We have a friendly and gentle, medium sized 10 year old Labradoodle
• We live in a semi-detached house with a small garden, swimming pool and koi pond in a friendly neighbourhood in Bukit Timah
• We have a car

Both my husband and I work full time so we are looking for an independent person who has initiative who can help support the various household and family requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

• Household Chores (House, Garden, Car): 
  • Keeping the house and surroundings neat and organised
  • Cleaning (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping)
  • Laundry (washing, ironing, folding, putting clothes away)
  • Dishes and general kitchen upkeep
  • Taking out the 
  • Washing the car

• Meal Preparation:
  • As a family we like to eat and entertain. We are looking for a strong cook who likes to learn new recipes and learn new cooking skills
  • Cooking meals for the family (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Following meal instructions independently (books, videos) and maintaining a clean kitchen
  • We eat all types of cuisines including pork
  • The ability to bake is an added bonus

• Teen Care:
  • Supervising teenagers when parents are working or go out

• Pet Care:
  • Walking, feeding, bathing and cleaning up after the dog (if applicable)
  • Feeding the fish

Skills and Experience:

• Ideally a transfer helper in Singapore
• Physically fit and able to perform household duties efficiently
• Positive attitude, reliable, and a quick learner
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to speak, read and write English well is a bonus
• Flexible and willing to learn new tasks
• Able to follow instructions and work independently
• Recommendation letters would be advantageous

Salary and Benefits:

• Competitive salary based on skills and number of years of experience (meeting the Ministry of Manpower's requirements)
• Weekly rest day and comfortable living conditions (own room and attached bathroom)
