Indian family looking for helper

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Domestic Helper to assist with household chores, cooking, and provide childcare for our 2-year-old baby. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in cooking Indian food and possess a strong work ethic. This position is based in Singapore and requires someone who is dedicated, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. The Domestic Helper will work closely with the family members to ensure the smooth operation, cleanliness of the household, and the well-being of our child.

Responsibilities:

1. Childcare:

• Provide attentive care and supervision to our 2-year-old baby.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and hygiene of the child at all times.
• Prepare meals and feed the child following specific dietary requirements and instructions.
• Engage the child in age-appropriate activities, playtime, and educational interactions.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and maintaining the child's personal hygiene.
• Accompany the child for outdoor activities or appointments, as needed.

1. Cooking:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, following recipes and dietary requirements of the family.
• Plan menus in consultation with the family members, taking into consideration their preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized, including proper storage and disposal of food items.
• Maintain an inventory of kitchen supplies and notify the employer when additional items need to be purchased.

1. Cleaning and Housekeeping:

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a clean and tidy living environment.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen areas, and other high-traffic areas regularly.
• Make beds, change linens, and tidy up bedrooms.
• Assist with laundry and ironing clothes as needed.
• Organize and maintain closets, cupboards, and storage areas.

1. Household Chores:

• Assist with grocery shopping and running errands, as directed by the employer.
• Perform basic home maintenance tasks such as light repairs, changing light bulbs, and fixing minor plumbing issues (if capable).
• Water plants and maintain the garden (if applicable).
• Feed and care for pets (if applicable).

1. Communication and Collaboration:

• Maintain open and clear communication with the employer regarding any household-related matters, as well as updates on the child's well-being and development.
• Collaborate with other household staff, if any, to ensure smooth coordination of tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Domestic Helper, including childcare experience, preferably with experience in cooking Indian food.
• Knowledge of Indian cuisine and the ability to prepare a variety of Indian dishes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform cleaning, household chores, and engage in active childcare duties.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with children.
• Familiarity with proper cleaning, hygiene practices, and childcare safety guidelines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
