Family with dog and expecting a child next year

Hello!

My name is Wil, and my wife, Melissa, and I are looking for a domestic helper to join our household starting sometime this year (ideally in October). Our family consists of two adults and our 9-month-old golden retriever dog (23kg). We want someone who is comfortable and has experience in looking after dogs. Additionally, we plan to start a family next year, so our helper would need to be experienced in baby care and childcare, particularly with newborns.

We are looking for someone to join our household who can handle all the typical responsibilities asked of a helper including:

• Housekeeping
• Cooking, preferably Western and Chinese
• Laundry/sewing
• Grocery shopping
• Kids care for future newborns/children

However, the perfect helper will also be able to:

• Have 5+ years of experience
• No termination of contracts unless it's for a good reason
• Many years of employment with the same employer/family
• Be extremely organized and germophobic (i.e. hates germs and washes hands often)
• Communicate well in English
• Learn quickly
• Complete tasks with limited instructions
• Knows how to use Google to search for information
• Have the initiative to do things without being asked
• Be a dog lover
• Able to learn by reading and YouTube
• Can speak up and is willing to correct us if tasks can be done better 
• Will ask questions if they do not understand something

While we know some employment is less than 1 year due to employers moving or no longer needing help, we will prioritize helpers who have a history of staying with a single family for many years and who have reference letters. We prefer not to work with helpers who have never extended a contract with any past employers - we believe families want to keep good helpers for as long as possible. 

Importantly, we are looking for a helper who plans to stay in Singapore long-term and is looking to stay with a single family for a while. Helpers can expect a starting salary of SGD $700-850/month depending on your job experience. That said, we believe good work deserves good pay and will provide regular increases to your salary depending on the quality of your work. You can also expect support from us if you have life aspirations and goals (e.g. self-development, courses, certifications, etc.).
