Western family is looking for a helper

Hi there. 

We are an expat family of 4 living in Discovery Bay. Our two children are 2 years and 3 months old and we are we are looking for a second helper who is cheerful, smart, polite, hard working, kind and professional and who also has lots of baby and toddler experience. The applicant must also be willing to work alongside and coordinate with our current helper. 

We are a decent and generous family but we have a large house and our expectations are high.  We are both busy people and don't have time for anyone who is not willing to work hard and do the things we ask. Your job will be to make our lives easier and notice things that need to be done without us always having to tell you. We will pay a good starting salary and will increase over time for good performance but we expect top-level work and especially attitude.

Main Duties 

• Young baby care, including sleeping with our baby until the baby stop taking milk at night (roughly 6-9 months old) (We will provide time off each day for you to rest/nap/recover)
• General household cleaning, laundry, ironing and other standard chores
• Helping our other helper, as required, with our older child and with cooking/shopping when things are unusually busy
• Helping to cover some of our first helpers tasks when she has her day off (e.g. sometimes cooking for us)

Requirements

• Excellent English communication skills (both spoken and written)
• A good reference from your current, or previous, employer (at least 1 family)
• Minimum 5 years of experience plus experience with at least one newborn/young baby.
• Highly experienced with babies and young toddlers (0-3 years old)
• Must be able, and willing, to work alongside another helper
• Must be able to pay attention to detail
• Must be able to remember when asked to do things without being reminded repeatedly
• Must be able to accept feedback on how we like things to be done. This is never personal but we want things done the way we like them and don't want our helper being annoyed if we ask things to be done differently from what they are used to.

• Loves babies and young toddlers
