Caring helper for 70 year old man undergoing surgery.

Looking for a cheerful helper to take care of a 70 year old man who will undergo surgery shortly and his wife . He is not bedridden and will recover over time, he can do everything himself. We would like someone that is patient, caring and perhaps has some experience in preparing nutritious meals (purée) for him and normal cooking for the rest of the family. ( all adults) Basic cleaning, laundry and marketing also needed. We speak English and have no pets and are actually very hands on but would like someone to give a hand especially with the preparation of meals and being in the house and attending doctors appointments.
