British Chinese and Japanese family looking for Helper with child minding experience

Note: start date is flexible but ideally in June or July 2020

About us:

• Two adults (British Chinese husband, Japanese wife)


• 2.5 year old boy, 4 months old baby boy (Jan 2020)


• Mother works from home part time, and mainly stays at home


• 12 years old Tabby cat


• HK-island based (Chai Wan/Heng Fa Chuen, near lots of public transport)

We require:

• You must currently be residing within Hong Kong


• Able to start straight away (May or June 2020) without traveling back to home country


• Reference call with latest/last employer


• Excellent experience in children care


• Good sense of hygiene safety, well organised, good time-keeping


• Good cooking abilities and willing to learn (we have a big kitchen island and oven!)


• Follow instructions with positive attitude


• Good listener, honest, attentive, and kind


• Patient speaks English fluently


• Takes care of play with two very young kids


• Able to work with stay-at-home-mom


• Size of apartment: 1,200 sq ft


• Household chores include: child care, cleaning, laundry/ironing, grocery shopping/marketing cooking


• Feed our lovely cat 2 times a day, clean his toilet.

Bonus skills (any of the following):

• Certificates/qualifications in child care


• English language certificate


• Worked for a Japanese family in the past, or interested in Japanese culture

In return, we would like to offer:

• At least HKD$4600+ salary/month (negotiable, depending on past work experience)


• Optional food allowance


• Private room (but share large bathroom)


• Sundays, birthday, statutory holidays off


• Chinese new year bonus, cash performance bonus
