Grace Management & Consultancy Services Pte Ltd (GMCS) is a training and consultancy firm in Singapore, specializing in the support and orientation of migrant domestic workers (MDWs) and their employers. Officially appointed by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), GMCS offers two main programs: the Settling-In Programme (SIP) and the Employers’ Orientation Programme (EOP).
The Settling-In Programme (SIP) is a required one-day course for all first-time MDWs arriving in Singapore. The SIP, conducted in various languages including English, Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, and Burmese, aims to prepare MDWs for their roles by providing essential information on home safety, high-rise safety, work permit conditions, and their rights and responsibilities. Additionally, the program covers aspects of adapting to life in Singapore, managing relationships, and effectively handling stress.
The Employers’ Orientation Programme (EOP) is designed to educate employers about their duties and responsibilities when hiring MDWs. This program provides critical information on legal requirements, best practices for managing domestic workers, and fostering positive working relationships. By participating in the EOP, employers gain valuable insights into creating a safe and supportive environment for their domestic helpers, ensuring compliance with local regulations and promoting ethical employment practices.
GMCS’s mission is to ensure a seamless transition for MDWs into their new roles and to promote harmonious employer-employee relationships. The organization is dedicated to providing high-quality training and support, helping both MDWs and employers navigate the complexities of domestic employment in Singapore. With a strong focus on safety, education, and support, GMCS strives to enhance the overall experience for MDWs and their employers, contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
